KARACHI: Qatar Airways has announced that it will resume flights to Peshawar effective Wednesday (today), according to the airline’s official website.
The international airline had suspended its flights to Peshawar following an attack on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-756 on June 24 at the Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) in Peshawar.
The incident involved armed men opening fire on the plane, killing a female passenger and injuring two others, including a cabin crew member.
Around 178 persons, including the crew, were on the flight which was coming in from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Emirates and Saudi Airlines had also suspended their flights to Peshawar after the attack.
