Muslims in Southeast Asian countries to observe first fast on Monday

Muslims belonging to the Southeast Asian countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei shall observe their first fast of the holy month of Ramazan on Monday (June 6)

Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman and others shall try to sight the moon today on Sunday.

Astronomers have predicted that first Ramazan shall be observed in Saudi Arabia on Monday whereas chances of the moon being sighted in Oman are relatively lesser.

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has requested the citizens of the country to sight the moon on their own and if they are able to witness the moon, they need to register their testimony in the nearest court.
