Airport, motorway close again in Lahore due to heavy fog

LAHORE: Heavy fog descended on Lahore and adjoining areas in the early morning of Tuesday, causing overnight suspension of flight schedules and closure of several sections of the motorway.

Allama Iqbal Airport authorities informed that heavy fog prompted the suspension of local and international flights. The resumption is expected at dawn.

Meanwhile, zero visibility at the motorway had halted traffic at the sections from Lahore to Pindi Bhattiyan and Sheikhupura. The motorway section was closed for the road between Pindi Bhattiyan to Faisalabad.  Commuters faced immense difficulty while traveling at GT road from Lahore to Okara.
