LONDON: India was seven wickets down after scoring 154 runs as Pakistan was eyeing victory and on a verge of creating history in the Champions Trophy finale at The Oval on Sunday.

An 80-run stand between Hardik Pandya was broken via a run out as mix-up between the two batsmen in the middle diminished the last hope for India.

An over later, Ravindra Jadeja was picked up at slips by Junaid Khan. India were 154-7 at this stage.

India lost the wickets of Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav within few overs as Pakistan picked up six Indian wickets chasing a mammoth 338

Leg spinner Shadab Khan trapped Yuvraj Singh right in front but the umpire denied Pakistan’s appeal. However, the 18-year-old made his captain Sarfraz Ahmed take the review which turned out to be a great call.

In the very next over, a short ball from tournament star Hasan Ali to MS Dhoni was top edged to Imad Wasim.

Shadab Khan also got the wicket of Kedar Jadhav as he top-edged one to Sarfraz Ahmed, leaving India for 76-6.

Earlier, Mohammad Amir tore apart the famed Indian top three, shaking India to the core as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan headed back to the pavilion.
