Pakistan Navy Receives US Surveillance P3C Aircraft
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani navy took delivery Tuesday of two state-of-the-art, US-made surveillance aircraft nine months after militants destroyed two similar planes, officials said.
Pakistan said the P3C aircraft, modified with the latest avionics, are designed to improve surveillance in the North Arabian sea, one of the world’s most important shipping routes deeply troubled by Somali piracy.
“The two aircraft have been delivered to the Pakistan navy. These aircraft have been provided under the foreign military funding programme,” a spokesman for the US embassy in Islamabad, told AFP.
The navy said the aircraft would help “maintain requisite vigil in our vital area of interest in the North Arabian Sea”, which it said was “home to intense maritime activity both legal and illegal and thus warrants continuous guard”.
Pakistan is to receive six P3C aircraft from the United States in three batches. The first two, received in 2010, were destroyed during a 17-hour siege of a key naval base in Karachi last May blamed on the TTP.

I like these planes but Pakistan army does not like them that is why they allowed militants destroy them.
Like those militants we too are being financed and armed by the government of India.
Like those militants we too shall destroy these toys of surveillance.
Like me India has many agents in Kashmir to be used against the idiot Pakistanis,like javeed iqbal beigh,sarfaraz handoo and many more.
Like them India shall falsely allege Pakistan to have armed and financed them even of having created a haqqani net work over here in India.

thats the least they owe us for what they have done to us. and it’s called free speech. the religious parties can say what they want. is free speech something foreign to u? does india not have free speech?
P3C, like F-16, is NOT state-of-art but vintage, junk aircraft which only a mentally deficient country like Pakistan would be proud to have. It is no match even for India’s Boeing P8I.
Who says these are free? Pakistan bought 6 planes. Two were delivered in 2010 which were destroyed by militants. This is second batch of two out of 6. Last batch will be delivered later.
So please keep in mind Pakistan is not getting free of cost. Foreign Military Funding Program does not mean free funding.
