Petraeus Never Apologised to Kayani Over Drone Strike

Submitted by Aurangzeb on March 29, 2011 – 12:38 am7 Comments

ISLAMABAD: The International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) Commander in Afghanistan General David Petraeus has neither apologised nor given any explanation to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani regarding the killing of 44 civilians in the March 17 drone attack in Dattakhel area of North Waziristan Agency.

A local news agency reported that Petraeus had contacted Kayani to apologise over the killings.

Pakistan on March 17 had refused to participate in a Trilateral Meeting with the US in Brussels and demanded an apology and an explanation over CIA’s drone strike a day after one of its contractor, Raymond Davis was released.

When contacted by The News, a US military source in Pakistan denied these reports carried by a local news agency, and said, “With regards to the allegation that General Petraeus contacted the Pakistani military or that he expressed regret over this alleged incident, I can assure you that General Petraeus hasn’t had any contact with Pakistani military leaders since his meeting with General Kayani on March 3.”

When asked about this particular drone strike, the US military source responded, “With regards to the alleged drone incident, we do not comment on these allegations. However, the US mission in Pakistan is to conduct training and provide support to Pakistan’s fight against violent extremists”.

Meanwhile, reports from North Waziristan Agency speak about compensation to the family members of Dattakhel drone strike victims. The political agent announced Rs300,000 each for the family members of those martyred in the drone strike and Rs100,000 each for injured ones.

The cat is out of the hat now.
It is ironic that an army which never comes out of their closed safe havens of sophisticated planes, tanks and vehicles. Never even come close to its enemies is training Pakistani army on how to handle the situation and crisis.
Allah says:They will not fight you all except within fortified cities or from behind walls. Their violence among themselves is severe. You think they are together, but their hearts are diverse. That is because they are a people who do not reason.59:14

    Quran says:

3:28. Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah. except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.

We will be punished over and over again every time if we don’t obey what Allah is saying to us.
The secret of success is obeying Allah not these fragile man gods.
Our Prophet SAW and our Sahabas had shown us practically over 1400 years ago that the only formula to life is to follow His path and be successful in both worlds.

Why would he apologise.Does everyone in Pakistan still believes that Gen.Kayani is not taking dictation from the Americans. Please wake up and stop making him a hero.Him and the other top brass are sold out to the Americans. What more proof do you need.Lets see Raymond Davis plus many more roaming around the cities of Pakistan,Drone attacks which by the way take off from Pakistani air bases including Shabaz in sind and Shamsi in Balochistan etc.Should I go on and on.We should stop flattering ourselves.Politicians and Generals are in the same boat(The US boat).Tell me who is not CIA sponsored(TTP,Politicians,Generals,BLA etc).Just pray that God gives us the strength to get rid of these traitors and terrorists.(Ameen)

Close the US supplies eh? You Pakistanis wanna fight the US? Really? Thats your plan? Oh come on. You guys will never do that. Your beggar of a country needs US aids to survive else it will be no different from say a Somalia. Stop supporting, funding and sponsoring terrorism and your country might live in peace. And yes, also try to let your neighbours (India and Afghanistan) live in peace.
