As if the ravages of the floods, the incompetence of the government, and the shenanigans surrounding cricket were not bad enough, there is an additional cause of national depression: a group – ‘Kondemn the whole Kommunity Klan’, or the KKK – is actively pushing the narrative that Pakistan is a failed state because this nation, culturally, does not have the attributes of a successful civilisation.
The madness in Sialkot seems to have triggered their wholesale laceration of Pakistanis. This incident has been mounted on the billboards of ridicule as the final verdict on this all those who live here. According to one member of the KKK, our entire history is so designed as to only produce violence and bloodbath. In other words, we as a people, are historically, culturally, and politically wish death and destruction upon ourselves and on others.
Other members of the KKK are busy in drawing rooms spreading the argument that Pakistan’s experiment in attaining the level of a civilisation has failed. As exemplified by the horror of the beating-to-death of two brothers, those who live in this land have become permanently unhinged.
The cause of their anguish is understandable – the horrendous sight of humans being bludgeoned to pulp can wreck any soul and make people shout from the roof-tops in anger and hurt. But their conclusion is downright racist and alarmingly malignant – that this incident is further proof of a barbaric nature of the whole nation.
While our grasp of world history may be faulty but we have poured over enough paper to know that the Indus civilisation does not have a monopoly over lynch mobs, witch-hunters, and stake-burners. Nor does the subcontinent species have beastliness built into its bones. The entire European history, as indeed British and American history is soaked in blood, sometimes shed in the name of religion, sometimes in name of carrying the white man’s burden, but mostly in brutal self-interest.
All colonialists were master killers. The British took the cake in managing meticulous elimination in the lands they occupied for gold, slaves and the glory of the crown. Today’s civilisational success – on whose merit according to the KKK, we don’t measure up – is built on yesterday’s systematic murder of weak natives.
These attitudes, though regulated and controlled, are still prevalent – as much in white, western societies are they are observed in the coloured eastern countries. Beneath the angelic calm of material achievement of these societies – which is enviable and laudable – lurks a blood-thirsty beast that demands annihilation every now and then. The US-led, British-backed war in Iraq is a manifestation of this beast. Need we recall how the Iraqis were, and are being killed? What transpired in those awful prison cells that were guarded by the progeny of successful civilisations? Need we talk about extermination in Afghanistan and the daily dance of death that goes by the name of collateral damage? Should we cite – again – the nuclear attack on Japan?
The KKK’s argument that Pakistanis are collectively responsible for the brutality of a few individuals is Hitlerian in accusation. It is absurd to say that since Pakistani film-goers used to lionise Sultan Rahi that means that they love violence. This is no more evidence of national penchant for violence than the Hollywood’s glorification of James Bond’s hi-tech mayhem and murder. And if we must take fictional characters as reflections of deeply-ingrained social attitudes, then Hollywood’s cannibals, flesh-eaters, vampires, mobsters, gangsters, rapists, torturers, and yes, ‘Terminators’ and paedophiles, have to be seen as mirror images of the inner self of the West.
In the same vein the English doctor Harold Shipman known as ‘Dr Death’ who killed 215 of his patients over a 23-year period can be seen as the way of the English. Or the burning of the Christians and pogroms of the Muslims should be seen as the collective intent of the Indian society. The point is that no society is collectively condemnable. No one nation can be held responsible for the sins of a few individuals. Millions of great men and women are at work serving their fellow human beings in this country. They should not be slighted and insulted by stereotyping them as failed human beings. The KKK should have a heart.
Or get another passport.

Few years ago one of France’s province was discovered that on the state level it was involved in child abuse, drugs, murders, kidnapping, molestation, sex slavery, human sale, prostitution, mafia, terrorism and the young children and women’s body parts on sales for meat consumption for rich people. The whole of French province was involved in crimes of unspoken before and people involved were from young individuals to hundred years old fogies, everyone was involved in all sorts of crimes of great shames. The whole of province was functioning on racket based businesses from killings to renting out couple of months old babies for sexual acts like rapes, and to having children on sale for sex and assault tourism and human skins on sales.
French province got exposed during the digging that took place near some orphanage buildings where some buried bones appeared. Police was called in and one thing led to another and the whole of French province was exposed on international Medias to see what has been going on for over centuries up till now. People living in that French province were so bad that doing bad was one of the norm and renting out small children and babies for a packet of fags, and while parents would be standing nearby smoking or injecting drugs, their babies and children were being raped by peodoifilers and the killers.
At first when the news was broke out about some human bones have been discovered near some building; no one thought what they were about to discover. The discovery of living crimes in French province was so shameful and dark for the whole of Europe and for the France that they decided to make the whole discovery disappeared before anyone else could come to know and they pretended on Medias as if nothing had happened after third day’s full blast exposure.
French people living in the province were leading their lives in such dark crimes and in such a way that the whole of EU and France were smoked up from their corrupt roots to admit the great shame on their behalf. France’s whole state was living as if it was normal to do all above crime lists. In this the police was involved and government people were involved and the top clergy people from religious churches, and every act done by those people living in that province were like; “oh killing and skinning is normal and if you have a baby for a bit of shag for a packet of cigarettes, then what’s wrong with that, it’s not a crime”?
The whole of French state after mere two days of media exposure on their immense amount of crimes and criminal acts exposed by some journalist starting from digging spot, they finally collectively made it blacked out and all the incoming news were pushed under carpet pretending nothing had happened.
All these so called civilised nations of Europeans and Americans and their so called civilised news media the BBC, Euronews, and CNN, FOX and France24 optionally blacked out everything relating to France’s whole province’s disastrous SUBHUMAN derelicts.
After the black out, the whole affair was never talked about, nor it was made available anywhere else for anyone else to know’, how come people of one province in France were left to live below animals with satanic standards? It was such a shame, that ordinary people who came to know through the news couldn’t even comprehend to talk about it let alone to expose it further for the betterment of human like species living in Europe and in America known as WHITE PEOPLE/RACE?

The recent chain of incidents curtailing in our country are ever more depressing, shameful & disgusting though. But as a nation, we are survivors to say the least.
We have faced even bigger Dilemmas/challenges in the past, the list of which is rather long. So instead of beating the old track over & over again, we should rather try to look into the future & try NOT to repeat those silly mistakes again.
We do know that we don’t have a sound vision or strategy in hand at the moment, so the good old policy of Hit & Trial seems to be best way forward!!!

So just curious whether that expression is being used to refer to someone domestically or internationally…
However bad that Sialkot stuff was, I don’t think it can be generalised for your entire country. We’ve got lynch mobs in India too. I’ve seen pickpockets get thrashed in trains in India – but that does not mean that the whole nation is blood-thirsty.
Not quite sure why so much is being made of it? Punish the guilty policemen who were watching and warn the mob – and that should be the end of the matter? No?

I am rereading this and I think it is more of a euphimism than an actual organization. I do think that these outrageous acts don’t define Pakistan (how could they?) as a whole but when something like this happens openly in the eyes of the law, it is a very POOR reflection on our civility in general. In India, you talk about the pickpockets, still the same principle applies. People in our countries have this lynch mob mentality and it is wrong and should be addressed. Punish these criminals-whoever they may be- civilians and police alike. Take care.
Are you sure that the KKK is a Pakistani Organization/club or whatever you call it??? I agree with Mujahid that we area Nation of survivors and survive we will but its high time we cure ourselves of the disease we all seem to be suffering from: Just talk, write but do nothing . Lets get rid of the crooks we have as our political leaders and elect some honest, God fearing person to lead the country to become a country worth living and to be proud of.
Ask the parents of the two young boys who were killed and then you would know what its like to lose your children. Bottom line is that unless we start hanging corrupt people whether they are politicians, policemen, or whatever, nothing is going to change. I don’t know what 180 million people are waiting for!
