The recent allegations by CIA, RAW and Afghanistan on ISI for its involvement in Afghanistan and supporting Taliban are based on false notions. Instead of blaming ISI, these notorious agencies should look into their own past and present. They are the main culprits who are playing havoc with the peace and stability of the world. International neutral observes should understand that ISI is highly professional and able intelligence agency. It has nothing to do with these types of malpractices. The main goal of maligning ISI and Pakistan is to exert pressure on Pakistan, and ask it to do more in War on Terror. The world community instead of blame game should support ISI, only then we can win against Extremism and Terrorism.

Introduction

Pakistan is located at a very strategic location in South Asia. Some Western analysts call it a geographical pivot of the world. Pakistan shares long borders with two hostile neighbors Afghanistan and India. Both countries along with America and Israel have always played havoc with the safety and security of Pakistan. These threats and insecurity has aroused especially after the US War on Terror. Right now Pakistan is facing growing insurgency, terrorism, suicide bombings, attacks on security forces and internal strife. All these threats are countered and eliminated by our Inter Services Intelligence (ISI); according to ex DG ISI General ® Hameed Gul and DG ISPR Maj Gen Athar Abbas, ISI is the “first line of defense of Pakistan” against any foreign aggression or threat. There are constant efforts by our enemy states to weaken ISI and for that purpose they put obscure accusations against ISI. Now coming to the point that is threats and allegations on our Intelligence Agency (ISI) for supporting and plotting operations against Afghans, Indians and Americans in Afghanistan. All these allegations are based on false fallacies. There is no credible or concrete evidence of ISI’s involvement against any country. ISI is a highly professional organization. It knows very well about its role and duties, and it is obvious that it will not indulge itself in any manner against the interests of the country. Focus of the study will be to highlight the overt and covert operations of CIA, MOSSAD and RAW around the world, and how they have affected the overall security of Pakistan.

ISI’s Origin and Role

ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) was founded by a British Army officer Major General R Cawthome in 1948. The main goal of ISI is to safeguard the country mainly from external and internal threats, counter intelligence while playing a major role in the defense of the country. ISI is one of the best organizations in the world both operationally and tactically, it has always played an important and responsible role in the world’s peace and stability. ISI’s role in Afghan Jihad against Soviets can never be ruled out. Whole world condemned the Soviets incursion into Afghanistan, it was ISI which with the support of other countries helped Afghanistan to free itself from Soviet occupation and live as a sovereign and independent state. ISI is a highly professional organization and it works under the most sophisticated and able command and control system of GHQ. Role of ISI against the war against terrorism is also appreciable; it is ISI that has captured more than 700 militants including high profile Al-Qaeda leaders. No other intelligence agency in the world has done this much effort in war against terrorism. According to Al Qaeda’s Leader Sheikh Yazid in an interview, “Pakistan has inflicted huge damage on Al Qaeda more than any other country in the world”. I think this is a clear indication that an enemy accepts the potential and operational capabilities of ISI. Now a days a propaganda by the Western Media, Americans, Afghans and Indians have taken place in which they are constantly blaming ISI for every malpractice in Afghanistan or in India.

CIA’s Overt and Covert Operations in the World

CIA was created in September 18, 1947. Throughout the cold war era the main role of CIA was assassinations, kidnappings, undercover assignments, law violations, sabotage, commando operations, interfering in other nations’ internal affairs. CIA has played havoc with safety and security of the other countries. Now I will briefly discuss some of its malicious acts around the world to support my argument that it is easy to blame ISI but putting their own house in order is tough. There are considerable reports that CIA, Mossad, RAW and British intelligence agencies are supporting and funding the insurgency in Balochistan. Then CIA operation Against Italian Government in 1948 was its first assignment abroad. This operation was directed to prevent the Italian communist party to get hold of the Government. This was the beginning of the dark ages for the peace and stability of the world, this operation was to crush the elements that are against the ideology of US. Another covert operation includes the CIA’s role in Korean War. It was another task abroad against China, Chinese people were recruited as mercenaries and they were trained in Northern Burma now Myanmar. In an another attempt to destabilize Eastern Europe CIA in 1951 trained the Nazi War criminals who were assigned mission behind the “Iron Curtain” to promote destabilization in Europe. Another operation was conducted in 1959 against the Premier of Iran Mohammed Mossadegh who was against the role of foreign powers in Iran, that operation was code named “Operation Ajax Another unprofessional conduct of CIA was to assassinate Commander-in-Chief of Cuba Fidel Castro; because he was considered a threat to US interests. CIA has made more than 600 attempts on him, but failed miserably. All these above mentioned operations are just few examples of CIA’s malpractices around the world, now we have to analyze that CIA has always played lethal games against those countries which do not comply with US’ interests. But ISI has played always a responsible role for the preservation of peace and stability in the region and at world level, its’ role against Soviet occupation, and in the war against terrorism is admirable and impressive. ISI has never attempted or planned any coup against any country in the world; it has never played any role in assassinations, kidnapping, hijacking or subversion in any other country. Mossad’s deadly Games Around the World

Mossad is the intelligence agency of Israel whose wrong doings are not hidden in the eyes of the people. Its horrific games and atrocities against Muslims of Palestine and other neighboring Arab countries are visible to everyone. Mossad has always played destructive role in the world of today. Assassinations, kidnappings, sabotaging peace and stability of other countries, etc are few nasty acts of Mossad. Pakistan has never accepted the existence of Israel because of their illegal occupation of Palestinian lands. Israelites also know the fact that only Pakistan in the Muslim world has the capability to deter Israel, that’s why their enmity against Pakistan is obvious. According to the first Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion, that “It is essential that we…strike and crush Pakistanis, enemies of Jews and Zionism, by all disguised and secret plans.” This statement shows the secret plans of Mossad against Pakistan, according to Janes Information Group, “The Indian spy agency RAW and the Israeli spy agency Mossad have created four new agencies to infiltrate Pakistan in order to target important religious and military personalities, journalists, judges, lawyers and bureaucrats. In addition, bombs would be exploded in trains, railway stations, bridges, bus stations, cinemas, hotels and mosques of rival Islamic sects to incite sectarianism. Mossad has assassinated many prominent personalities around the world; Mossad was behind the assassination of top Hezbollah Commander, Imad Mugniyah in Damascus. A major Israeli daily newspaper Maariv shared the views of many others when it concluded that: “Officially, Israel yesterday denied responsibility for the killing, but experts say the brilliant execution of the attack was characteristic of the Mossad. This shows the brutality of this organization to put hold on the dissent voices and cause destabilization in other countries. Furthermore the former director of Mossad Meir Amit advocated WND that President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad should “be made disappear from the arena”. This type of ridiculous thinking of senior ex-official of Mossad unravels the fact that anyone who takes stand against the brutalities and hegemony of Israel is eliminated. In an another attempt of assassination abroad Mossad killed Abu Jihad in 1988 in Tunis, Commander in chief of Palestinian Armed Forces, he was brutally murdered with 70 rounds of automatic weapon fires. Then a Hamas bomb expert Yahya Ayyash was assassinated by Mossad in Gaza Strip by a tiny bomb hidden in a mobile phone. All these brutal political murders were against the humanity. Mossad is as lethal as CIA or RAW, because they never care for collateral damage. They just want to achieve their evil goals. The world community and neutral observers should take notice of all these brutalities done by Mossad and scrutinize this evil agency. The role of Mossad in Sri Lankan internal conflict is also not hidden, In 1991 Victor Ostrovsky, author of book “By Way of Deception” told Indian abroad news service that Mossad brought many Tamils to Israel for training in 1984 and 1985. In July 1984 this inner RAW circle arranged with Mossad to send Tamils to Israel for commando training Now America should take notice of her close ally in Middle East and her negative role in the internal matters of other countries. Instead of blaming Pakistan and ISI Americans should take some concrete steps to curb the immoral activities of Mossad. Mossad was behind the introduction of Suicide Bombing in the region, it was Mossad that trained a very first Tamil Tiger Suicide Bomber in July 5 1987 against Sri Lankan government. Palestinians took note of its effectiveness, and started using suicide bombers shortly thereafter against Israel. Zionist media is very affectively converting every Iraq bombing a “Suicide Bombing” in order to malign Muslims around the world. The world community should open its eyes to see that this is Mossad that has played a devastating role in ruining the peace of the world. This shows the secret hand of Mossad in suicide bombing in Muslim countries to malign Muslims because suicide is forbidden in Islam. Then we can say that this might be another brutal act of Mossad to destabilize and malign Muslim Ummah. No sane Muslim would ever kill its own Muslim brother, then attacks on ISI buses and other security forces in Pakistan might be financed, trained or sponsored by Mossad or RAW. We cannot rule out this possibility that both these agencies are committed to destroy Pakistan and the only hurdle in their way is ISI.

RAW’s involvement in other countries

RAW (Research Analysis Group) is India’s top most intelligence agency. It came into being in 1968 with the agenda to launch a war of disinformation campaigns, espionage and sabotage against Pakistan, and other regional states. ISI has always been a main target of RAW; it has always used its false propaganda on Pakistan that what so ever happens in India they put it on ISI. Ashok A Biswas, a Delhi-based research scholar, in his compiled study RAW – An Unobstructive Instrument of India’s Foreign Policy, states that ‘the aim of RAW is to keep internal disturbances flaring up and the ISI preoccupied so that Pakistan can lend no worthwhile resistance to Indian designs in the region.’ He concludes, ‘RAW over the years has admirably fulfilled its tasks of destabilizing target states through unbridled export for terrorism had a hand in it. Now this type of approach by RAW has really played havoc with the peace and security of Pakistan and other regional states. Allegations against Pakistan are just based on false claims; Indians just want to exert their pressure on Pakistan. They want to engage Pakistan Army in the Tribal Areas against its own people. That is the reason that they are using this false propaganda and blame game. Indians has always supported the dissent ethnic or sectarian groups inside Pakistan; RAW was actively involved in supporting Seraiki Movement in Punjab. The basic aim of RAW is to destabilize Pakistan, and create sense of instability and turmoil in Pakistan. According to the Jane Commission’s report Indian Government have accepted its dirty role in destabilizing the regional states to exert its influence on the region. India’s support to Tibetans against China, playing deadly games in supporting Bengali movement Mukti Bahini in East Pakistan is another façade of RAW. It is evident from the past that India wants to engage its neighbors in turmoil and instability so it can easily exert its hegemony in South Asia. RAW has also created another insurgency force The Shanti Bahini which includes Chittagong Hill Tracts Hindu and Buddhists (Chakmas). RAW is now playing another dirty game against Pakistan; it is trying to link the Kashmir Freedom struggle to the War on Terror. This is the time to let the world community know that India is trying to change the world’s focus from Kashmir to Afghan border of Pakistan. Its ferocious role against Pakistan in these areas is not hidden. India wants to engage Pakistan Army in the Tribal Areas. RAW has played its ferocious role in supporting, training and funding the Tamil terrorist groups against Sri Lankan government. This is another attempt by Indians to interfere in the internal matters of another independent state. Sri Lankan conflict is still on its verge and it is a grave threat to regional peace and stability but due to RAW’s involvement it is difficult to expect that this conflict will be resolved in near future.

Conclusion

In this study it has been analyzed that CIA, Mossad and RAW have severely damaged the world’s peace, their notorious past, overt and covert operations against independent States have played havoc with the safety and security of the regional and international states. The given data about the operations by these wicked agencies is just the tip of an ice berg; there are many other countries which have suffered a lot directly or indirectly from operations by these hooligan agencies. Pakistan has suffered a lot from their malpractices. According to a security report by PIPS Institute, in 2008 Pakistan have lost more than 7000 people in terrorist attacks. 2007 and 2008 were the deadliest years in the history of Pakistan in which Pakistan have seen more than 100 suicide attacks. No sane Muslim can go for suicide bombing against its own Muslim brethren, so we can conclude that this is the work of Mossad, RAW or CIA to destabilize Pakistan. In these attacks many ISI personnel lost their lives. The recent aggressive statement by Indians that they will destroy ISI is the evidence of Indian involvement in attacks on ISI buses. ISI is the only agency which has the capability to challenge the RAW in South Asia, and it is a major hurdle in the way of Indian hegemony in the region. This is the reason that they want to destroy this Organization by malevolent and false propaganda. But these agencies will not succeed in maligning ISI, because the world community knows the past of these organizations and they are aware of the present situation. Now the need of hour is that we as a nation should support ISI and defend it against these allegations. Furthermore these notorious agencies buying and launching motivated innocent kids in the name of religion again became quite easy through RAW and CIA paid connected middlemen. The foreign agents have also been entered in Taliban and criminal groups of FATA and remaining parts of the country, so our government should act sensibly and actively to launch the counter intelligence offensive. We must praise the Pakistan Army for doing a fine job of flushing out such rouge elements from Swat and Tribal Areas. It’s also the need of hour that they should engage the local population of these regions in order to get their support to fight jointly against militants. In short we can say that CIA, RAW and Mossad should accept this reality that destabilization in Pakistan would never be allowed by our Armed Forces and intelligence agencies. Better way to improve the over all security situation is that they should stop malpractice and conspiracies against Pakistan. Only then we can move forward to a long term peace and stability in the region.
